One thing is for sure, the rope world is full of ego’s. There are so many, that wants to tell us what is right, and what is wrong. Why? There are a lot of different ways to do things, accept the difference and do what you like. If you have followed the path of Osada ryu, you are taught to go left, but Yukimura ryu goes right,  what is  right then? I believe that both have its purpose, and there are a reason for both.  I believe its more important to learn how to tie secure and reliably, that to tie in a fixed manner.
